What a beautiful coin bryan10au What a handsome design. In great condition. I believe this "100 cent" coin was privately minted. Squire

Huge story behind the $1 Grey Goose/Swan Dollar. Lots of information out about them. One item that I would love to add to the collection. Huge growth in that coin. I was looking at them a few years back. The price guides had them listed for around $1,000. But every single one I saw sold for around $2,000 plus dollars. A beauty. Was that from Klaus Ford? Looks like his sort of style in the packaging.

Thanks for for the comments much appreciated.
Yes Squire these were privately minted by John Pinches a medalists in London and was designed by Andor Meszaros.
Yes goatieman23 this was from Klaus Ford, he seems to be about one of the few dealers around that has any.

Bryan, yeah there's only a few dealers out there that I really trust; Klaus Ford is one of them, the other few would be: Andrew Crellin - Sterling & Currency The Purple Penny (we're lucky enough to have them on our forum) Anrew Peters & Stuart Andersen My main trust within these people is the simple fact that they offer information rather than just sales.
As for others that I will always look to for pricing: Trevor Wilkins being that he's in my field of collection (polymer notes)
Other great pillars of information in the industry: Mick Ronald-Vort - All notes, note errors & sales Ian MaConnelly - All coin errors
Then again where would we be without the help of Renniks & McDonald's guides...always to be used only as a guide, but full of information that can give us more understanding about some specifics within the Australian coin & note areas.

I also forgot to mention Steele Waterman (he's got a great history on both sides, from memory (not confirmed) he was once in law enforcement & dealt with counterfeits/etc). He has a sound knowledge of coins.

goatieman23 this is my first time of purchasing and chatting with Klaus and I found him extremely helpful and would have no problems doing business with him again in the future.
Another guy I do a lot of business with is Richard Welling of Ye Old Coin Co. I have always found him friendly, reasonably priced and if you are not happy with the purchase he will refund with no questions asked.

Markn - That's right Peter Andrews. It seems I can't even spell properly. Bryan - I've purchased items (which were well priced) from Ye Old Coin Co a while back which were great. But I haven't met Richard (at least from my knowledge I don't think I have).

Whilst the rams head was good last year the wheat reverse is much nicer IMO. I'm very jealous nancy!
