I believe that this is currently on MC pre-order. The subscription appears to be sold out or perhaps just stopped until after the general release.
Expect the general release to be Monday.

Hello All! I just spoke with someone at the mint, as I missed the boat on putting in for the subscription. She told me that the public release and sale date would be Tuesday, May 1. Just thought I would put that out there for those of you who, like me, did not subscribe.
I'm not overly thrilled with the design, as has been stated by several here, but will be picking one up for the express purpose of keeping my collection of these complete.

I got mine last Friday. Too bad the Mint couldn't do a miniature version of the one with the crystal which I have and think is one of the best-looking diamond jubilee coins out there.  Edited by Mrpiedfort

ughh every time I look at this new $20 I hate it even more lol. I really dont like how the queen looks on the reverse. I think when I get mine i'll just flip the coins over hah

I keep seeing that the release date being May 1st and thus thought no one would have it before then.

I don't trust the shipping date on the RCM web any more. It can be pushed back without any explanation. Besides, the web says the sugar maple ships on 07-05-2012 and many people and dealers got it long ago already. |

I think the queen needs a new image consultant.
Someone who will only let her image be shown in perfect light and angle.
I think the mint blew it on this coin it has NOTHING!! in common with the other three.
It very hard to give a true oppion of it without being very insulting.
Sorry :-(

New 20 for 20 is finally on the mint website for us non-special people. I think it looks slightly better than I was expecting (after all the negative reviews I guess I let my hopes drop), but it certainly doesn't compare with the other 3. This one won't sell out nearly as fast.
I had previously ordered 3 from the subscription. I don't mind, because I'm going to have 3 full sets after everything is said and done, but I suspect there will be a few people who feel like they are ''stuck with'' this coin.
