Here's an interesting note that some people might be interested in

http://www.ebay.com/itm/28087355910....m1438.l2649

Serial number BYE 900000. Apparently this is called a "full house"
Rest in Peace

LOL BYE 900000 hmmm, well this is an interesting serial number but $100,just goes to show if you have a good marketing ploy you can sell anything & call it anything you want it seems these days.
I thought a full house was a poker term LOL

Hi Larena, yes the number you are talking about is what some refer to as semi solid & is a keeper.

Where did your post go Larena ?

Someone likes it enough to pay $100.
There is a bid at $100!

Let me declare that I am not the seller or the bidder on this note. But I personally find this serial far more interesting than radars or repeaters etc and would probably buy it at a more reasonable price.

The note by itself has a book value of about $5 so that is a huge premium for the serial number.

Well, there's only nine X00,000 per prefix so it's pretty rare, and assuming each prefix goes up to 999,999 there is approximately 1 in 111,111 chance to get one like this.

I have a query about this 1996 test note....you will see on the right-hand end of each side is a blue ink stamp ..on one side it is stamped G482 and on the other G483...how could this have happened ?

Just wanted to add the one is on one end of the note and the other stamp is on the opposite end and opposite side.
Also would like to know if this would devalue this note.

In this months CAB there is a letter to the editor regarding a small blue stamp (different to yours) on a note. The editor concluded it is post manufacture. Whether or not the same goes for yours I'm not sure.

Hi Larena, I'd say it has been done by someone testing their ink pad or something like that, definitely post print add on.

I would say it almost definitely devalues the note unless you can convince some sucker on ebay its a production error.

Which may not be that hard, enworb, considering $100 for BYE 900000.

Each to their own...but we should be selling to them...we might make a part time wage Silly people. I've seen 500000 serial numbers sell for a lot, but BYE 900000...damn, there's plenty of better three letter words they could come across...like DAM...or DUM
DAM DUM MAN YES IND EED
