Honesty system applies! 6. Rules are subject to change and my decision in final.

Great idea !. Look forward to this coming weekend. Wonder what I can find in Melbourne's cash pond ....? Will probably search through 1 dollar, 50 cents and 20 cents coins. I think these are the most interesting and variation/error prone coins in our currency. Improves my chances ! Squire

What an excellent idea! Count me in.
I already have a '73 fiddy, but still have quite a few gaps elsewhere in my collection. My holy grail for the weekend will be a one dollar mule - but definitely won't be holding my breath.
Last year I went through a container load of change I had accummulated over the years and found a '66 wavy 20 cents. That was the start of my noodling and I'm really glad I bothered to check the internet to find out about our rare coins before I just bundled them up and cashed them in at the bank.
Hopefully, I'll have another lucky find over the weekend challenge.

I may have to sit out of this one. Just got tickets for Sydney / Hawthorn, 2 hours drive away. Wife is Sydney and I am Hawks so it should be interesting. Either way one of us will be happy. Maybe I should get the wife to drive and I can noodle on the way up - or if I am losing, during the game! I will take a roll up with me just in case :-) ...extreme noodling?

While I may be a backer of the maroons in NRL, when it comes to AFL, I'm Melbourne all the way - you may need some noodling material to celebrate ;)

Im going with 50c. Got them yesterday but the temptation to noodle may prove too much today and I might have to get a fresh batch this afternoon.

I went through $200 of 50c yesterday, but did not find much. Hopefully the weekend is better! I think this one is really going to come down to luck rather than brute force. I am still searching for an incuse flag 50c which is why I am staying with 50c coins.

I have 300 of 20 cents, 100 of 50 cents and 100 of $1 to look through this weekend. Maybe I will find: A 50 cent incused. A 20 cent wavy. Or maybe maybe even a 2000 $1/10 cent mule. Fingers crossed Squire

squirewilson if only it was that easy, we would all be rich! If you get all three of those you can officially be called from that day forward the ruler of the noodling community.

Any one if those coins is likely to win the competition by itself.

"Ruler of the Noodling Community" sounds cool, but from reading all of the emails on this forum I consider myself a rather small fish in a big pond !. But then it is easy to get caught up in the spirit of the "Noodling Frenzy Weekend" ! Squire

Boy am I glad I noodled my stash today. The worst $200 I've ever had. Only found 1 2001 SA Fed! nothing else of note off to get some more now. I was thinking the next noodle fest should allow note noodling as well?
