I traded for this 1851 $2.50 Quarter Eagle. I think the grade assigned by NGC is fairly accurate... lets see how you do in grading this gold coin.

I don't know if its the pictures or not but the coin appears to have been cleaned. I will guess EF-45 details.

I know nothing about grading gold, but I'll take a guess and say AU-53

My guess would be AU Details - Cleaned.

AU 50 details. Evidence of wear on curl over ear and on some eagle feathers. Area below bun seems to indicate cleaning, but it could be the lighting.

I'll say AU-50. These coins are tough to grade because a lot of the time Liberty's hair looks worn when it's actually just a weak strike. The same goes for the eagle's leg where it looks worn but could also just be the quality of the strike.
