And back down to $28.30

I guess the manipulators didn't like the creep up so they drove it down again. $0.60 down in about 1 minute, must be nice to have the power to manipulate a market with the push of a button.

I like these low numbers on silver prices but I am unable to find a decent supplier at the moment.

I recall reading that during the last dip. I am lucky my local shop always has at least the junk silver. I think he sells online now but not sure if he sells the junk as well as the collectible coins online junk is 3percent over current spot

Yeah, I noticed that as soon as silver dipped below $28 Goldmart raised its premium on "junk" silver coins from $0.10 per ounce over spot to $0.60 per ounce. I guess they need to make money, but it still bites. Fortunately, the premiums on stuff like ASE and silver bars seems to be pretty constant.

Have the premiums been recalibrated now that silver is trading above $28, Barry?

Looks like we're back in another trench.

Crystal Ball/WAG; prices creep up, as they have, before the fomc meeting. Bulls planning on QE3 being announced. If it is announced, prices go through the roof and hit 1700 for gold and 32 for silver within 48 hours. If the QE3 is not mentioned at all, but not taken off the table, then some mild downshifting to 1580ish for gold and 28.20 for Silver. If QE3 is taken off the table diffinitively, then gold crashes to 1400 and silver to 23.

Anyone else care to guess?

Yeah, I'm still holding off on any more purchases right now to see which way the winds will blow. Seeing silver drop back below $28 (or plunge all the way to $23) would be ideal for me right now. I'll regret it if silver ends up heading northward without me buying anything, but not nearly as much as I will [be made to] regret it if I buy at $28.70 and then it plunges to $23...

I haven't purchased in a while either. I do want to pick up the last 2 America the beautiful "quarters" and was doing a wait and see with the mint! I did get some of the Military coin and dogtag sets from the mint. They just shipped a bit ago. I really wasn't that impressed but a gift for Christmas! I had made 26 a buying threshold and the lOwest price I recall I couldn't buy! So I will wait and see

Looks like I am also in the little purchase group, but I couldn't resist buying the Niue 2012 1/2 oz. silver dragon in a egg. Limited to 8K.

Premium is real high for just a half oz, here's a image from APMEX.

I wonder how the acquisition of the London exchange will unfold. The article in NyT says Our big bankers (or thieves) are to fair out well!

I was doing CRH and I wasn't finding silver quick enough. Found a lot at yard sales. Less than $30 an ounce means I buy as much as I can. Even more when not from online.

I am still a buyer as long as it is under $30 an ounce. If it drops to 23, I'll buy more. The more above $30 it goes, the more I will have to think about buying.

Well, it looked like silver was heading down below $28 for awhile, but then 10:00 EDT hit and *BOOM* it's now heading back skyward...

As an aside. Has EdB been posting lately? I usually see some of his great replies!
