- its probably Licinius (maybe his son L II) with an IOVI CONSERVATORI reverse but I'm not 100% and I cant find any examples of a right facing bust. Need to think a bit more.

I think it might be Maximianus. Here is a image of a similar obverse portrait, but it is not an exact match. Just something to help out a bit.

I believe the legend on the OP coin could be IMP MAXIMIANVS PF AVG. Definitely looks like a IOVI CONSERVATORI reverse with Jupiter.

Are you able to make out any of obverse legend. I can see IMP the first three letters at the lower left, but I can't make out anything after that. If you can make out any of the letters it will be very helpful.

I can make out some of the letters. IMP MAX(I)MIA(NVS PF A)VG

Those in parenthesis I can't make out. This is kind of how it appears to me, barely.

That looks more like it Gil-galad - I can make out the 'IMP' and the 2 'M's now on Claires coin

Nice fighting lion reverse on your example

Not been able to find an exact example online, maybe its an un-common coin I think that a few slightly different IOVI endings exist but I dont know much about that series so cant add any more.

I think this is your coin. Looks to be a fairly uncommon type within the IOVI AVGG family minted at Lyon.

Maximianus RIC 384a

Bring it on!! lol

That coin is rather difficult to attribute because of the lack of details. Although, I'm thinking if the coin would benefit from a soaking in distilled water and cleaning with a toothpick. Problem is that the legend is worn and sometimes the dirt highlights the details. Or the coin could improve. I'm not real experienced at cleaning coins right now. Maybe someone else could say.
