While you're looking for the silver, keep an eye out for the elusive 69 large date. Them nickel dimes are being removed from circ. as well!

Would I be safe to assume the value of this coveted dime is going to skyrocket when they're potentially no more to be found?

I buy boxes of quarters and dimes and they key is to get rolls that are customer wrapped...if I get a box of quarters that have been banked wrapped I wont even find 1 quarter older that 1999....if I get rolls of quarters from the desk and laying around at the bank that customers have wrapped I usually get 1 silver quarter for every 15 rolls...thats pretty good. I dont have much luck with dimes....but maybe 1 silver in a box average....

1 silver per 15 cwrs? wow thats incredible. On a side note...how many LD 1969 have ever been found in circulation? I doubt there are any, as I recall they were not issued as business strikes ?

As of 2008 16 of the large date variety have been certified.
As of 2013 I don't know. Maybe someone else can answer that.(I do know that at least 4 have been found in the wild.)
The rest of the L.D'sAgain I don't know.

I've found silver dimes in my change. I have never found a silver quarter.. not even a 1991, which obviously is not silver but a scarce year.

I would search threw dimes, over quarters.

Right on RoyalSilver I do too. You just never know
If you do find a large date, you'll know right off the bat (at first glance)It is very easy to spot the difference.
