46th coin: 1839 Seated Liberty half dollar PCGS XF 40/CAC sticker Been searching for this as its the first year of the seated liberty half series and its neat to sometimes get the first of a series. I also got it because I have a 1839 capped bust half and thought it would be neat to have another half of the same year but different design. This one has the dirty crusty look that I like which makes more sense........a coin this old should look like this vs blast white.

47th coin: 1852 Type 1 $1 gold PCGS AU53 CAC This coin has a nice lemon/orange look to it. Why did I get it? No idea, impulse buy as it was not expensive. I'm really getting close to 60 now, may have to sell this or the other one later or maybe sell other coins and keep this coin!!

Thanks all for your comments!! I am getting so close to 60 that I am going to have to upgrade or swap coins out that I feel don't fit in the set soon! That means some hard thinking and pondering as I love everything! 48th coin: 1854O Seated Liberty Half Arrows PCGS VF35 This coin has a nice original circulated look that I like. I think thats the reason I bought it and also because of the New Orleans mintmark. I've got other Seated Liberty halves so not sure if I will re-evaluate whether this one stays or leaves because I am hitting 60 soon!! For now I am going to enjoy it and will re-evaluate the whole collection later :)

49th coin 1847 Seated Liberty dollar PCGS VF30 This coin is on layaway and I chose it because it has a nice circulated "crusty" look to it. Looks pretty original. This will be my first ever Seated Liberty dollar so I am excited and this one was within my budget and still looks good. Something with a higher grade=much higher price.

50th coin 1862 3 cent silver NGC MS63 I've seen a 3 cent silver in hand before and they are TINY! Neat design and a cool part of our history! The year was cool too, this was minted during the Civil War, I wonder what someone could buy with 3 cents back then, probably a lot of food! I've looked at some examples and these coins can be really attractive when worn or in mint state grade. This one is on layaway as well and you can probably see why I chose it.....very attractive and almost proof like!! Don't be surprised if you see another 3 cent silver in the near future in my box of 60 as I'm hooked on these coins!.

Very nice coin! I'm surprised that the 3 cent silver isn't at least proof like from that picture!

Somehow I've missed this thread up until last night. I spent 15 or 20 minutes going through it from the original post. I love it! what a great idea and most of all a great bunch of coins.
