How do you know if you have a proof LMC or not. Is it because it is struck different? or another reason. Thanks!

Proofs will have solid strikes and the fields will be mirrored. Proofs are struck differently than business strike coins, they use polished dies and are struck at least twice. If you look in my sig line and click on "My Lincoln Dansco" you can see the differences between the different strikes.

Not a Proof. Proof coins were only struck in San Francisco in 1990. This coin looks like someone polished it a bit, maybe testing out the polishing wheel on a dremel tool (I've tried it myself! Makes it nice and shiny.)

Proof coins have a sharp flatter rim that has an angle of around 90 degrees on the outer edge and the inner part of the rim that leads to the field and design. Circulating coins have more rounded rims.
This true of most modern proofs as far as I know.
