The Monster Box of Silver Maples that I ordered last month when silver dipped below $31 finally arrived today. I ordered from Goldmart because (a) they had the best price of the major dealers ($1.99 per coin over spot) and they offered free shipping for orders over $5000.

It took a lot longer than expected to arrive, due to some nonsense about the Brinks truck breaking down en route from the drop shipper to the post office, thereby requiring a new tacking number to be generated, and then there was a lengthy delay after I got the tracking number, supposedly due to the fact that registered mail just takes longer. I dunno. Anyway, the point is that it arrived today. It's a bit frustrating that value actually dropped over $1000 in the time it took to get here, but that's life...

I had no idea the maples were so shiny! They are almost proof-like.

The $1000 drop is a little painful, but that pain will soon go away and you'll wish you bought 2 at that price.

What coincollect1 said is definitely true. I'd say about dozen or more of my SMLs acquired the spots you mentioned. Not sure what processes causes this state.

Great score as always Barry! An if you bought something an it arrived trouble free minus some issues with a locked in perfect price, at that point I would be concerned and figure the end is near, rof....

It's the liquid that they use to clean the blank planchets before striking.

Lower price just means, time to buy more.

Great Buy

For a long term hold, this was a good buy. Do you buy bars also?

Nope, at least not really. I do have three 1/2 ounce silver bars with a zodiac dragon design, but that's it.

I've always felt that coins would be easier to sell since they're more recognizable.

Beautiful!

But if you would have gotten the maples delivered the next day... there still would have been a 1000$ drop in them!
I just ordered a tube of silver eagles from goldmart. I am nervous! I mailed them a check a few days ago, I hope it gets there! I have never paid for anything that way, and it makes me nervous!

The coins look beautiful though!

Don't sweat it, ICanSeeU. I've ordered thousands of dollars worth of silver from 3 of the 4 most popular vendors (not GoldMart yet) and there was no problem with either the checks getting there or the silver getting here. These guys have the whole system pretty well worked out. If they didn't, their names would be MUD and all over the Internet in hours. They know that so do all they can to keep their good reps. Typically, they will send emails to confirm reception of the check and then again when they ship. The shipping notice should include a tracking number so you can follow the shipment's progress as it comes your way. This is really good because you will need to have an adult sign for the shipment when it arrives. If there is no one home during normal delivery house, you can usually arrange to pick up the package at the shipper's distribution center nearest you.

yeah, I dream that one day silver will be at the sub $10 range so I can afford such a box. I don't really see it happening anytime in the near future.

Have they fixed the issue, yet, Canadian-Banknotes? It's ruined the appearances of more than a few of my privies.
