I collect the '68 to 2000 cents primarily. Actually I hoard them a little more than collect them but eventually I'll put together the finest 1959 to '08 LMC set that I can. I've got a few dozen cents that would just blow your mind. Some of them look like branch mint proofs.
Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps.

I am suprised that so many members are doing so well.
I would have thought more were still looking for say 1970 S small date or maybe even nice 1960 small date.
I have been looking to upgrade some coins .. finding some in higher grades seems like it will take some time.

1909 to date. Saving roll of some family dates, and all copper.

I nearly have the complete set. I don't collect varieties, so as long as I can get one from each mint, from each year, I will be happy. Just need 1914D and 1931S and all 2012, and I'm done. Steve

I started my Lincoln collection in the late 60's when I was a kid. Stopped in the mid 70's with 22 holes. Started up again last fall. Need only a 09 S VDB. Probably will buy a certified one from Heritage Auctions.

I collect Lincoln and Indianhead cents, but I don't have a particular system. All wheatheads come home from work with me, along with anything interesting I find.

My main focus with coin collecting is Lincoln cents. I am big into coin roll hunting and regularly search through rolls of pennies from different banks. I keep all pennies from 1958 and prior. Also, I am very big into errors and different varieties found in Lincoln cents. However, I do not keep coins prior to 1982 for the copper. I just don't feel as though it's worth it. That's just my opinion though.

1909-date
I have all but:
1909-S VDB 1909-S 1914-D 1931-S
and don't plan on getting the 1922 no D as I consider that an error coin.

Just picked up the 8100 today.I've got to go through tons and tons of cent but I think it should be close to complete except the keys and proofs. Anybody know if the 8100 is the biggest album dansco makes

When someone says they're going to put together a set of (whatever), I ask them their definition.
Grabbing an album off the shelf is certainly a valid response, but being forced to think through exactly what constitutes a "complete" set can be eye-opening.

Coindog, I believe the 8100 is the biggest Dansco album (1 1/4"). They are starting 2010 cents in a new 8104, not released yet

Quote:....eventually I'll put together the finest 1959 to '08 LMC set that I can It's a very difficult task! As you well know, I've been working on it for years. Of course, I have all of the coins but I am constantly seeking up grades. It's never "good enough" for me. I'm always seeking not only high grades but full strikes, especially with full steps. I have some that should be in slabs and should hit top-pop.
