Just wanting to share my silver find today. :) A teller at my local bank called me to say someone dropped off some unwanted 50 cent pieces and she knew I collected them and she asked if I wanted them. I went down there to find 13 silvers, 4 nickel pieces. Not a bad score for $8.50 years are CDN 1943X4,51,52,53,57,58,59,60,62,74,80X2,81 USA 1954D      Edited by Coin Chick

Very nice ..... wish my bank tellers were like yours.... looks like one of the 1943's has a Zoell catalogued die crack (minor Variety).

I'm lucky in the aspect that I'm in a small town with a small bank. The downfall is that not much travels through there.
They treat me well. They will order boxes for me to sort and will even look for specific coins in their tills. I guess they must be bored. Lol
I looked briefly at the 1943's. I found 1 near, 1 far, and 2 double 3's
I have not checked for zoell errors.

I'm with CIBC. But it is hit and miss in other places. I've asked for 1 box of pennies from a CIBC in a city an hour
away and they were very snoty and wanted to know if I had a business. They still gave it to me. I definitely don't
have the same relationship with the other 2 banks in my town.

I will try to get pics up. I am only working with a 12mp camera. I am seeing a lot of people talking about USB microscopes.

pginrh this is as good as I can get. Still honing my photography capabilities. they do have gunk on them as well.   Edited by Coin Chick

A touch of Peeled Chrome Plating on the 4's and very nice double-punched 3's. Zoell Variety number R444d...keepers for sure.
Pictures are good... better than my scanner, that's for sure.
