Yes, he was
told it was damaged, but he wanted to know how it could have happened. Only 1 person elaborated how it could have happened and simply stated "Something outside the Mint hit it" everyone else just stated "it's damage". I see why the people are confused, and I don't think anyone was trying to rip on anyone or call anyone out on their intelligence. As for Jmacdaddy's statement, I don't think he was necessarily rude either. He said so himself "it's hard for me to believe its a
PMD.", maybe if there was a good explanation as to why it wasn't (like several people asked) then maybe it wouldn't be so hard for him to believe it. I don't get why people get so offended when others question what they say. If someone is questioning what you say, you obviously didn't provide enough evidence to prove what you said, at least to the person who is questioning you. I've been borderline flamed trying to ask
why a coin of mine wasn't an error.... it's just a simple question, it's not meant to be rude or question your expertise. Some of us like to learn, not just be told.
Also: "Jmacdaddy77 - no offence but you must have a better understanding of the minting process to understand why this is so easily dubbed
PMD. Its pretty rude to question the people you are asking for help, especially when these folks have more than 11 posts of experience to their names."
1. You say he must have a better knowledge of the minting process to understand why it's a
PMD.
2. You call him rude because he was trying to gain better knowledge then go on to belittle him implying that because he has 11 posts that he must know nothing.
As you can see, those statements completely contradict. He needs more knowledge to understand, but he tries to ask (so he can understand) and is called rude.

Edited for length: Not everyone believes what they're told. It's human nature to question things.
