I found this looking through my pocket change. The liberty, trust, date and forehead show what looks to be a double strike? Just got my new extension tube for the camera and am hoping the pics will show it. This is only a test

The photos are good.What you are seeing on the coin appears to be Die Deterioration.

The last image show the die deteriation the most. Remember die wear is always on the side of the devices facing the rim. Zincolns seem to show this the most like your coins' image. Note on the date? The area in question again is the sides facing the rim. Just die wear.
