NGC value of $300, nice buy! I am debating on whether or not to get a (unofficial Type III) recessed date for my slabbed 7070.

Beautiful coin even as a 62. I think one possible reason that this coin graded a 62 may have been some the scuff marks that I see under the eagle. I have a SLQ that has some of those same scuff marks under the eagle but the rest of the coin doesn't have too much going on with it. It was graded MS-62 by NGC.

How do you all feel about the rim?

In addition to the rim mark mentioned, there's a small portion of the outer wire rim that is flattened a bit (look closely just above the 2:30 position). Neither of these touch/affect the reeding on the side, nor the design along the inside of the rim.

I did not notice the 2:30 rim...until others mentioned it. Does not bother me at all!

The only thing that bothers me about that coin is it is not in my collection!

ME too! Super coin! I'd always take a FH SLQ over one in a higher grade, within a point that is.
