i just recently started searching for small date cents, so I wasnt quite sure about this one. It looks to me like a small date, and I understand the 1960 D small date is common, but ones with no mark are rare. Anybody have an estimate of its value?

The 1960 is a SD. Value varies from maybe $10 in MS 65 to about 2 in AU.

The 1960-D in the picture is a large date. The 1960 plain is a small date. And it is pretty nice too. Nice find!

Woo! I'm excited! I knew the 60D was a large date, I just included it for comparison.
How rare are these?

Took me many years (almost 30!) to find the 1960 SD in rolls. It was the last one I needed to finish a 1941-date circulation set. Congratulations on a very nice find, and in great condition, too!

I hear the reason why they are so difficult to find in change despite them not being ridiculously rare is almost all of them were found in Mint sets. Hence somebody would have to break open a set and spend it in order for one to be found.

I feel stupid lucky.. I wasnt even looking for this when I found it. I was about to throw it in the copper pile but it looked a little funny so I took a closer look.

Yes, the tails on the 6 and 9 are longer with a large date.
