Unortunately I've had to put it up on ebay because I forgot the car registration is due next week. The morgans are a great design and I'm sure i'll add more to my collection in the future.

Usually it would be ok. SA have put in some stupid new legislation where rego stickers are no longer put on cars. Those stickers are great because its easy to know when the expiry date is coming up. So its now up to the driver to remember. Lucky I kept my old receipt which I found the other day or I would be driving around with no rego. The safety cameras pick you up automatically and the fine is over $300. On average I would go through three intersections with those cameras a day which would get very expensive, very quickly before I even got the first fine in the mail. Thats enough ranting... sorry.
One day i'll get some more of these coins. They are beautiful in higher grades.

That Morgan is beautiful. 1883 at MS63 is a $45-$50 coin all day. you will make money on ebay with that one. except for those dang fees....

I would have bid higher enwarb but I didn't want to spoil it for juzzy. That is a sweet looking Morgan would have hurt to list it I have another 10 of these in the process of getting to Aus so I didn't want to get greedy. I was going to finish off my Franklin halves but when I got my first Morgan that was instantly put on the back burner

Im pretty chuffed with $48. I was just happy to get my money back. It is a very nice coin which is why I purchased it. Its a shame to get rid of it

Wasn't me that got it. I only went up to $45. So some random third person was the winner.

Sorry you had to sell that. That is a NICE coin, pretty close to a 64 IMO. And put me on the side of those that criticize ICG and ANACS are total Kool Aide drinkers with blinders of the worst sort on.

Honestly, its cases like this why I love ICG slabs.
Sure they are sometimes over graded by a point or so. But a lot of times they can be spot on. A lot of dealers will automatically net value an ICG coin down 2 grades when buying, and then up one from there when selling. If the coin is accurately graded (or better yet, under graded) you can get a really nice score.
I've done this a handful of times.
IMO, ICG isn't too far away from being a contender. Even closer if PCGS and NGC doesn't get their act together.
