Just finished up a complete set of raw Liberty nickels (less the 85 which was in a VG10 slab). This 1912-S is an attractive coin that I got bundled with the 86 for an extremely good price. I'm soliciting thoughts as to grade. It's all natural with no evidence of cleaning. I'm thinking F-15 and really welcome other assessments. Thanks! Paleoguy

With full 'Liberty' its at least an F-12 but I think it's slightly better than that so I agree with your assessment of F-15.

Strong for F-12, maybe OK as F-15. The scratches in front of the eye and across the V detract a bit, pushing me to the more conservative grade. Either way, wish I had it in my collection!

Probably F15...might go "genuine" if holdered due to scratches.

Concur with F-15. I don't think the scratches are deep enough to warrant a "damaged" grade.
