All right, I'll give the seller bonus points for speedy shipping...

I just got the Barber half dollar I won on ebay the other day. No, it's not the one I linked to in my original post -- it's the one I included pictures of later in the thread that I paid just over $300 for. It looks fantastic in hand, but as always the harsh light and macro lens reveals a multitude of flaws:

I was thinking it might just possibly be a proof coin based on the seller's pictures, but now I'm pretty sure it's just another dipped and/or polished coin (which I knew would likely be the case). Still, I'm happy with it for the price I paid, especially since this is destined for my 7070 album and not for slabbing.
