This is a tough one. This time, the volume buyers didn't have to send their minions out to buy 5 sets at a time. They can order 999 units ($149800.05) at a time, and I assume just order 999 more once that sale is complete. The system won't allow more than 999 units of any one product in the shopping cart. This means that someone wanting 5000 units only had to place 5 or 6 orders and not 1000. System congestion and order number ticking is only affected by the number of orders being placed not by the number of units being sold. The counter on the order page will show the number of units sold. I am guessing that all of the big dealers got in early to get product in the first couple of shipping days so I am going to guess 123,456 units when the counter first posts. I assure you all that this number was arrived at through a complex set of very scientific calculations, in my usual fashion.

Interestingly, 3PM ET is the cutoff time for shipping orders . If your order is marked as shipped after 3PM, it will actually ship the next day.

I was going to go with 250,000, but twitch43 already guessed that. So, since we're playing "The Price Is Right" rules, I'll guess 250,001...

Well, I figured the 25th anniversary set sold out 100,000 units in around 4 hours, and this time it will be a lot easier for big dealers and resellers to purchase unlimited quantities.

Of course, given the 30 day window, maybe all the big dealers and resellers will wait a few days/weeks...

If the big dealers wait, their orders will ship behind all of the ones placed before theirs. I don't think they want to do that, it might be weeks after shipments begin depending on how many small orders are in front of them. The big dealers probably don't want any sets that aren't FS/ER eligible. I think that the big dealers have already placed most, if not all, of their orders.

Well, after a great deal of thought, I'm going to say

1

Because the counter has to start at the beginning to get at whatever the current number is.

Secondary guess is 79,200
