The US Mint has gratiously provided us with an opportunity for some fun. They've provided a counter on the 2012 SF ASE set product page that will tell us in real time how many sets have been ordered.( http://catalog.usmint.gov/webapp/wc...ry_rn=31238)But it doesn't start until today at 3PM. Post your guess as to what the initial set count will be when it is first updated. As I said on another thread link, my guess is 40,000. Unfortunately, I will not be able to post the result at 3PM. I will be at work and the net cyber-nanny on our computers doesn't allow me to access CCF from there. Will someone please post the count when it gets updated at 3PM?

I am going to say things were CRAZY today at the mint and we are already at 125K when the counter goes live tomorrow/today.

I'll try to. I've gotten in the habit of perusing CCF from a work a couple times a day. My guess is 12,837. |

January, the game is guessing how many 2012 American Eagle San Francisco Two-Coin Silver Proof Sets will have been ordered from the US Mint when their counter goes live today at 3PM. They went on sale yesterday at 12 noon. The counter is at http://catalog.usmint.gov/webapp/wc...ry_rn=31238.I hope this doesn't disapoint too much, but as I said above it's for fun, so your prize is knowing that you had the correct estimate. |

I will guess 68,451 but it is a WAG since the counter was designed to update daily at 3pm so saying it is a "real time" counter is stretching it a bit
...and what is the reporting period? 12noon to midnight yesterday or is it right up to 3pm everyday or just the previous days sales (cumulative)? I would guess the latter but have no clue....
I'm sure the big boys got their orders in yesterday so that will skew the numbers a lot for day one
