Hello! I will be over from the United States on the Cotswolds Trail with Chipping Campden as our home base next month. Does anyone have any suggestions of coin shops that would be good to visit? I will be there the last week of July (will not spend any time in London) and hopefully can find a good place to go.

Thanks!

There is a great one in Bath
Bath Stamp & Coin Shop
12-13 Pulteney Bridge, Bath BA2 4AY
01225 463073 its in the guard tower on the bridge itself.
The lady the runs is is a little bit of a grouch but she knows her inventory.

There used to be a guy with a table at the Morton in the marsh market. I can't remeber the days it runs and its been 10 years since I have been. Same goes for the Cirencester Market.

Hi,
I live in Southern Ireland, although I was born in UK, and holiday twice a year in UK. I too travel through the Cotswolds. Lovely part of the country. Although I don't know of any coin shops there at the moment, if I hear of any in the future I will let you know.
I will also try emailing you now, although I may have problems because I tried emailing another member a week or two back and couldn't get through.

Sheercrofter, that's because you have under 50 posts, and the forum prevents new users (under 50 posts) from private messaging. If you read the rules of the forum, there is a fuller explanation. http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/...sp#rulesid19

I'm from near there, I go through Chipping Norton on the way to Oxford by bus (though haven't lived there for a while). There is apparently a coin shop on the A3400 (the main road which goes down to Oxford) just by the entrance to the road that leads to Chipping Norton.
I don't know if it is still there, I never went in it (no car) but I was told about it.

Chipping Camden itself doesn't have a coin shop, not much there really as far as I know, saying that I haven't been there much, played football there once for my school team as we were kind of local rivals.

I always thought it a gentleman than runs the shop, the lady is the assistant. Anyway the more you spend the less grouchyness :)

There is another coin dealer in Bath,
Manston coins of Bath,
Bartletts St Antiques centre
