errorone2012: There is a lot of terminology that is used in Canada that is not correct . Canadians are really hung up on die chips and Mechanical Doubling , no offense to anyone but why do Canadians think that every die chip / Mechanical Doubling error is worth a million dollars :-)

Good-day errorone2012

I am only speaking on behalf of myself but I could imagine from the amount of posts here that I'd be speaking for some others too, that the people that are "hung up on die chips and Mechanical Doubling" are in it for the "fun" of it or "enjoyment" of collecting odd errors/varieties...and is usually a start for a novice to learn about the different aspects of "mint errors" which leads to more interesting finds like the ones SPP and others share and the information that comes along with it.

I don't know about the "million dollars" but I feel a bit of a rush when I or someone else finds something a little odd...be it " Machine Doubling" or "die chips" that the mint corrects if they see this "error" being produced.

Just my " Two Cents" worth...which will be melted down by the mint eventually anyway.
