I have an update to share. I received my franklin proofs from pcgs today. Overall, I'm very pleased!
1956 type 1 pr 66 (I cherry picked this tough variety raw, knew there was no chance at cam, but I'm happy 1956 type 2 pr 66 (this is the heavy toner I call "fireball". There is cameo, but the tone most likely prevented them from being able to designate as cameo. This is ok, I love the coin for its color) 1961 pr 66 deep cameo (bought raw for $15.... Sweet) 1963 pr 66 cameo (I'm fine with this)
The 61 and 63 are definetely permanent members of my collection. The type one will be also, until I one day can find and afford a gem cameo example. The type 2 will fill the hole for now, but I will upgrade eventually and keep it as single.
Pics tomorrow!

Good to hear you got them back as Cameo. Looking at the pictures of fireball I'm surprised they wouldn't say cameo regardless of the toning.

Yeah, I was a little dissapointed, but they really want to see the contrast... Regardless of what's obviously underneath the tone. I don't care though, even if I replace the coin as far as my actual set, it's staying with me. Love that coin

Great set HONDO, I'm on hold for new additions due to economic issues. Love the 55 and 53, both missing from my set.

Very good collection to start, not very expensive either even being slabbed.

I picked up this guy... nothing special but it filled a hole in my Dansco. I am trying to build a set at Spot Price or as close to Spot as possible. Paid $15 for this Proof.
