It's not like it doesn't have value; just not numismatic value. It doesn't have value to a coin collector. Like this one, a piece which will not be leaving my possession:

Buffalo-Nickel-Arrowhead-Value

Buffalo-Nickel-Arrowhead-Value

In fact, I paid almost as much for this relatively-collectible date in the encasement as I would have had I bought it standalone as a coin for my collection.

I like it. I like your Buff, too, but it's not a collectible coin. It's a novelty. I like novelties.

The arrow shaped mount is a decorative piece based on the Indian/Buffalo theme which makes it a novelty. Coin collectors just want the coin. Doesn't mean its worthless, so don't take offense.

Novelty:

1. a small manufactured article intended mainly for personal or household adornment
2. something that provides often fleeting amusement and is often based on a theme

The old coin show on shop at home sold those and tossed one in free if you bought mass rolls of buffs.

Who puts a 22D in a medal like that?

But it is an awesome piece. I rather like the arrowhead as well. I personally would not sell it.

Someone to whom, in the 1920's or 30's, it was just a run of the mill one cent piece. Which it was at the time.
