amida17 Pillar of the Community United States 4897 Posts	Posted 06/24/2012 12:58 pm Impossible to say what caused the scrape...could be tooled or any nuber of other causes. People sometimes do strange things to coins..If you are interested in error coins you must first learn all you can about the minting process. With this knowledge you will often be able to determine if something could happen at the mint. Some times we can only say how it did not happen...and leave how it happened to conjecture..
