Hi all I joined today because I was going through my grandfathers old coins and came across a coin and I dont know if it is a human altered coin or if it was a minting mistake. I was wondering if any of you could help me out. On one side of the coin there is the backside of a Buffalo nickel showing the buffalo and on the other side of the coin it seems as though a one cent Wheat penny is inlaid in the Buffalo nickel. I thought this strange and intriguing just wondering if any of you have any insight with this coin.

Thanks

Most likely a coin that was altered by human hands, but we would need pictures to be certain

Magicians piece. It's copper on the cent side and nickel on the buffalo side right?

I'd love to see a picture too. Also, how does one make a post and remain at zero posts?

Technically, this forum's post counts are for "quality" posts... whatever the heck that's supposed to mean.
In practice, it seems to mean that a member's first several posts remain uncounted until a mod clarifies somewhere that they're indeed "quality"... after which it seems to settle down to all posts counting automatically.
It might depend of course. But I certainly noticed that my post count grew slower than the actual amount of my posts early on, and this guy is just another proof of this
