Is This A 1953 SF Hanging 3?

I have no clue. I see something little above the three and I am not sure if it is a SF.

Is-This-A-1953-SF-Hanging-3?

Can't tell by the photo. Can you get closer between the 3 and the twig?

I enlarged the photo and see nothing in that area.

Your penny is the SF variety. I can't tell by the fold itself, but by the I in DEI.

I also don't see a "hanging" die clash above the 3.

I have a number of the hanging varieties of various dates. Some are quite obvious. Others vanish when you look at them straight on but are quite visible when you tilt the coin (which can make them a bit hard to photograph!). They appear in various positions and shapes: I've got one that's more of a hanging bud than a hanging number. Take a spin through the pages for each year shown here http://www.coinsandcanada.com/coins...nt-1953-1964 . Some of them include pictures to show you what to look for.

p.s. I also don't see anything resembling a hanging in the posted picture but is there some doubling on the word 'CENT'?
