I usually find 1 every month or so. Since I started holding on to them last year I'm up to 14 now, not including the two I bought at the coin show to have as nice specimen pieces. I wonder if being in Florida makes a difference, more older generation people here spending them perhaps?

I think living outside of DC in northern va is why I never see anything. I dont think I've gotten anything other than usual change in the last 3 years besides 1 SBA

I live in southern Virginia and I find them all the time in my change, about 1-2 a week. I even think I'm finding them more often now than I did 5 years ago. I wonder if people need the money more now and are cashing in the ones they've saved, or if they're just realizing they're not worth anything. Regardless, I always save them.

I sell BU rolls for $18 a roll without a problem. Not a big premium- but more than what most of the posters here have listed.

As for the other 76 releases:

76 Type 1 Ikes Philly - $69 for 20
76 Type 1-D Philly - $28 for 20
76 Kennedy half dollars - $22 for 20

I love bicentennial coinage, but agree that they were minted in too large quantities to ever be worth much (if anything) over face value.

Having said that, I have stockpiled some rolls of silver bicentennial quarters, proof bicentennial quarters and silver proof bicentennial quarters (all pulled from mint sets). I'd like to think those do have some potential due to intrinsic silver value (except for the non-silver proofs) and relative rarity. Really hard to say, though...

It always seems like people that live in more rural areas get more interesting coinage in change, I might have to move lol
