Curious to know if banks have ever held any peace or Morgan dollars or any other silver coins for you? I'm sure I know the answer to this, but I'm curious to hear everyone's response.
My bank holds them for me all the time. I have spent years cultivating a good relationship with many of the tellers. But then again, I also work there.
My banks don't. I don't even think they separate out the silver coins. It just is a first come first serve thing. When ever I find silver coins in trays they are mixed in with the rest of the coins, and I just have to get them all.
according to a Comerica bank teller in Detroit area, tellers are not allow to keep silver coins and if a customer gives a teller silver coins; the teller is told they must give silver coins back to customers and tell them to cash them in at a coin/pawn/gold buying shop! PS... Detroit Tigers baseball teams plays at Comerica park.
