Hi all-

I'd like to ship rolls out. I received rolls of 2012 dimes and pennies straight from the mint- entire boxes full.

If I want to ship out 1-5 rolls at a time (small quantities), what have you guys used for the most economical shipping?

Thanks!

How much of a nerd I am- I wish they were old and grubbier

I've never done it, but just for postage I'd assume the flat rate envelopes are going to beat the 'by weight' option of adding stamps to an envelope/box.

Of course, I can't comment on insurance.

I used the flat rat boxes to ship similar but they were larger quantities. I agree you need to use a box but you can probably ship cheaper on 1-5 roll cheaper by using a small box and shipping by weight. No envelopes.

I ship one roll which when packed totals 6 oz, USPS First Class Package, costs 2.15 two rolls will cost you 3.28 same service, total weight on those packaged will be 13 oz, which is the First Class Package cut off. 3+ I go flat rate padded envelope or small box.

These are for a roll of pennies, never shipped other rolls.

Flat rate boxes are what I've done. You can get something like 30 rolls of cents in a small flat rate box.
