And yes, while almost all true clipped coins have this marking, every once in a while you run across genuine examples without it. I'd have to see some close-ups of the edge of the clip and both sides near the clip to be sure about this one. Is there any "flow" to the metal right near the clip -- especially to the denticles and beads? From the pictures shown your coin looks pretty good to me, but a closer examination would confirm or deny. Nice find! Report this Post to the Staff

The clip is straight though and I notice that most legit clips are circular. Is it possible that I have a rare penny or is it most likey PMD? Report this Post to the Staff
