What do you all think about the Opal Series?
Are they good resale coins?
Thanks

better to ask "anybody wants to buy Opal Series?"
If more than 5000 persons say yes, definitely a good resale chance.

I was wondering the same things. The coins are beautiful.

Update:
I am a noob and may have made a poor decision but I pulled the trigger today. Also bought a 2012 Australia Southern Sky Crux. But judging by the prices asked for the Opal Koala there is some potential there.

@starbuxinvestor The Crux was interesting to me also but after looking at all the Astronomy coins put out in the past they do not do very well, although it does look interesting. As far as the Opals go I have seen prices start high and slowly move down, but if you're just building a collection it does not matter.

Personally all the NCLT is getting far too expensive, prices need to come down for this stuff or interest is going to wane, new people to this will balk at the prices. I am looking at stuff no one wants and has a low mintage from previous years, there are some nicer older coins with reasonable prices out there if you look hard enough.

You said a mouthful. Nearly $100 per ounce for proofs is ridiculous. Almost 4x over spot? It's simply too much, IMO.

I have got both releases of the opal series. I not so thrilled about it. I don't think I will be pursuing the rest of the series.

I have all of the treasures of australia series which I love.

I have both of the map shaped coins. I will carry on with those.
