Is it really necessary to use CoinStar for American silver coins? In my opinion, US silver coins have white rims whereas other copper-nickle clads have yellowish rims. Besides that, does CoinStar sort copper of Pre-1996 Canadian pennies or Pre-1982 American pennies? Thank you
? Coinstar usually charges an 8-10% fee to turn change into paper dollars. I've never used it because of that, plus the prying eyes of the public behind your back. Why not just coin hunt the old-fashioned way? You may have Coinstar confused with the Ryedale sorter.
When I listen to LED ZEPPELIN...so do my neighbors... Roll hunting since '77 Dirt fishing since '72
I never really use coinstar to return money because of the reason stated above but I do like to check the tray every time I pass them. This year I've found 2 silver dimes and one Canadian dime. Free Silver is always fun :)
Coinstar does not sort coins for you and it will take coppper and zinc pennies and also silver quarters and half dollars. it sometimws does not take silver dimes but run it through enough times and it will take them too.
