Or, an urban design - a seagull with a french fry in its beak...

I do believe that the Winnipeg mosquito has been highly overlooked as a truly Canadian icon. It is a symbol of fortitude among the residents/fore-bearers of the city, and without that Winnipeg would never have survived. All hail the Mighty Mosquito!

let me guess, confederation bridge, poppy or loons/beaver? Hopefully the mint isn't obsessed with the 1812 theme

i thought they had enough coins commemorating the diamond jubilee but they made one for the 20/20. I wouldn't be surprised to see one commemorating 1812

my guess is that it will be some obscure artwork representing some intangible value supposedly unique to Canadian.
Just hope it's not olympics-related

Yes, we need a poutine coin. Or how about a coin with another coin on it? I'm looking forward to that Trolls coin.
:D

Would definitely pass on that one. It's really ugly.
And it would be counterfeit, hollow and without any value. Composition of pure pyrite.

Awwww come on CC!
This is all about the Olympic spirit of Canadian soccer star Christine Sinclair!
She awaits possible suspension amid FIFA probe.
(U.S. Abby Wambach is pictured here... she scored on a penalty to tie Canada 3-3 in women's soccer yesterday)

Maybe your coin should have Christina Pedersen on the obverse?

One thing I miss from Quebec: the delicious poutine. Melted fromage a la crotte on crisp and burning fries, and nicely cooked viande hachée sprinkled on top... hummmmm and with a thick layer of hot sauce I just can't resist.

Quote: A 1967 redux series would be very neat. BEST... IDEA... EVER... Except for jpaiva83's Tim Hortons idea
