I wonder which coin set that one is from (note the NBU comment)?

I'm guessing that NBU stands for Numismatic BU.

Why the seller thinks that differs from BU mystifies me.

NBU is a term used by ICCS to describe coins that were not circulation strikes (similar to prooflike). I am not sure the reason for the change from prooflike to NBU in their terminology but it applies to coins back to at least the late 1970s. As this coin came from a mint set, it suggests there is limited likelihood of finding one in circulation.

Does it not drive anyone else nuts when they see a listing asking for $20K and it is full of spelling/grammar errors?!

ig86,
Unfortunately, poor spelling, grammar and punctuation are all too common.

I've been told that when our present teachers in the UK were being taught, correct spelling, grammar and punctuation were not considered important, thus those who are now teachers didn't learn and cannot teach it.

While I think that's a poor excuse, errors occur not only on ebay but also on other websites - even some CCF topics and replies. It's easy to say 'use the spell checker' but if someone doesn't know the correct spelling, it's often hard to know whether the spell checker has spotted a mistake correctly.

On the other hand, it night be that the seller is hoping to fool buyers into thinking that he/she is uneducated and thus ignorant of the 'much greater value' that their item is worth.

Pertinax - I'm not a "Grammar Nazi" or anything. I try to spell things properly and use correct grammar, but I really don't care when I see someone have typos on CCF, or even at work on Microsoft Communicator. If it's informal conversation, I really don't mind. But when you are presenting a $20,000 coin, I think it needs to written better than that.

It maybe the rarest canadian coin of all!
I also wonder why the seller owns so many rare coins and wants to sell them.

I have no knowledge about the seller or his holdings. But if I found this quite a few months ago, as this seller obviously did given his comment about the population report, I would assume he has spent the last year looking for another. As was the case with the 2006 rarities, I bet that there are more to be found. Probably some more have been found already!

could it be fake?

Seller says...'''In the 2012 ICCS Report a printing error happened in the NBU 1 CENT - 2005P section, they have it as Magnetic but should read Non Magnetic with the population as 1.'''
So no real way to prove it exist?
changed ICCS paper?
added P to Non Magnetic coin?
Oh, I better check that 2005 First Day coin on RCM card!
If these DO exist, they came from RCM set or product.
