I have this coin that I got in a lot a couple years ago. All I know is that it is about 6/10 of an ounce and I was told it is .999 silver. It is a JFK commemorative round and I have posted pictures below. Any help regarding more info about this coin would be greatly appreciated. This piece appears to be pewter. I would guess it's softer and heavier than silver. Report this Post to the Staff

The good news with that would mean it's at least real silver, the bad news being it's unlikely to have any value past it's raw melt I would imagine. it weights about 6/10 of an ounce. Buddy Rest in Peace United States 7075 Posts	Posted 08/08/2012 5:55 pm Try a ' tissue test'. Silver looks distinctly different from other metals under a single sheet of tissue paper. It is is nice shape and some people collect presidential memorabilia so you never know, it could still be worth a bit more than melt. Report this Post to the Staff
