So far we only have myself, Joe, Martin, Doug, Boobyhelmet and Ed. Here stands the Elite. (or just guys that happen to successfully squeeze in a Mars coin.) haha

Going to need a ruling on this one, but based on what I've been reading I believe the figure to be Mars. Both breast look covered to me along with the spear pointing up. SEPTIMIUS SEVERUS SEVERVS AVG PART MAX VIRT AVGG RIC vi 171a

Virtus I am afraid. Right breast exposed. Here is my example for comparison. Regards, Martin

Looks like it might be Phraates IV or in that particular era of around at the end of the BC time line. Hard to tell without the reverse.

Somehow I knew you were being sarcastic, but hey, for the benefit of the doubt I answered anyway. Don't want to be a jerk about it. :) lol

Rev.: VIRTVS EXERCITVS - Mars in military dress, holding transverse spear, shield and trophy over shoulder. X in l. field, B/K in r.. RIC 83.

Dionysos, welcome. That is a beautiful coin, and has a good chance in this smackdown. Maybe you should consider getting into Ancients. If not, do you want to sell your coin?
