That guy who started Littleton Coin and Stamp was a numismatic P. T. Barnum. Thanks for those pic. There is a good wiki about him, starting collecting at 12 yrs old. Started his own Business at a young age. Mail order success. Was MP in WW2. Came back and opened business in Littleton, NH. Maynard Sundman was his name.

Here's one that was countermarked on both sides of the coin. Canadian 1 cent 1890H countermarked as shown below. I have no idea what the significance of the date would be, could be just about anything, but it's quite bold and stands out very well. Cheers, Bill

I guess birthday or wedding gift with date. He was going to put the 91 on the May side. But flipped the coin and stamped it hurriedly with 91? The shop teacher was comming in earlier than expected that day, and so he struck quick and put the coin away. He gave it to Mary Lou under a blossomed apple tree in May. Its puzzling. Yes countermarks. Grahm may have been an entrepaneur?

New arrival. The Little Bar - Houston TX - Good for 5¢ in Trade. The counterstamp RS indicates that this is a fantasy piece produced ~ 1970. I did a quick search on Token Catalogue before purchasing, but it didn't show up. Figured it was unlisted. After receiving, did a deeper dive in TC and found it to be TC-211033. At least my $6 taught me to be a bit more diligent in the future.

Won this in an auction yesterday. Why did I buy it? I can't explain. Is it the bizarre counterstamp? Is it the square hole? Is it because they're inflicted on an 1822 large cent? It just spoke to me is all I can say.

Nice LMCs counter stamps Otto. Those were all done by the Littleton Stamp & Coin Co. Typically they were sold in a small yellow envelope.
