Hi All,

This is the next coin I want to identify in the collection. I don't know where to start. If someone can establish its identity, I'd like to taught what to look for.

TIA,

Looks like a Maximianus AE tetradrachm from Alexandria.

Maximianus, Potin Tetradrachm, Alexandria. The reverse should indicate the year.

The Greek legend reads Maximianos Seb(astos)but the first three and last 3 letters are a might rough. When asking ID help, always show both sides of he coin. In this case there should be a date numeral with an L that means 'year'. In some cases the number of years shown will limit the possible readings (all rulers might have a year 1 but fewer have a ten).

With Nike left that would appear to be Milne 4988, Emmett 4148, BMC Alexandria 2577.
