These 2 IKEs are peggers, I think.

Particularly the one on top.

BTW my camera is messed up chromatically speaking. Both are toned, but not near that much tone. I have some toners, but before I can-will-should sell them, on ebay, I need to get a new Camera.

Well I didn't pick up on any peg legs, but I did notice as I was going through them that one of the 1978's from the first haul is actually a proof. It has toning (part of which is finger prints I'm sure) and the surface is rather ugly; it has clearly not lead an easy life. But looking closely you sort of make out what's left of the mirrored surface in the fields.....and it's an S mintmark. This would be a perfect pocket piece candidate, but it's going in the Dansco for now.

I also found a nice upgrade for my 1976D-Type 1 in the lot as well.

Thanks for the up-date on your peggers.

I try to ask all CCFers on their 1976 D type 1 coins.

For reasons unknown to me I received a bag that had more that a few 1976 D type one with PEG LEGS.

The only plausible reason I can guess, was it might be a 373 UNC bag that had someone just DUMPED to a bank,

Of the APPROX 373 in question, most were pegs, most were toned, to one degree less-more.

Again, thanks for the info

Funny thing about this bag, when I picked it up from the bank, I was so numb with glee, I never saw the rich number of toned coins in the UN-opended bag, until I started taking them out.

BTW my personal favorite coin in the bag was a 1977 (P) very toned coin, along with a 1978 (D?)

picked up 11 large dollars the other day, they were in rubber bands in the tellers drawer. She mumbled something about some other dollars and that they were looked through, but I took them anyway. Nothing too noteworthy except 2 items... a gold plated Ike, and a impaired 76s clad proof.

I picked up 6 ikes at a credit union the other day. Nothing noteworthy, I'm simply trying to accumulate enough to fill booklets for each of my 3 kids with AU-condition coins and wanted to keep this thread alive!

One of my coworkers brought in a 1972 AU Ike for me today, too. I gladly handed him US currency in exchange. :)

Happy Ike hunting all!

I have asked a few times at my bank for Ike's and still no luck. I will never give up! All the tellers and vault manager know my name now so maybe if they get something interesting they will save it for me, who know..
