I was given this miscut $100 bill from the bank. I have never seen anything like it and was hoping I might get advise on what it might be worth,

Miscut-$100-1996-Bill who to take it to and if it is worth something the best avenue to sell it.

Thanks in advance for any help or information

to the forum!

I'm surprised a bank would give that out. It's their job to take those out of circulation. As far as value check out error notes for sale on ebay. That note has a couple of gutter folds and a small butterfly fold, no doubt double printed on the back side.

Put it in a plastic holder to protect it, handling hurts the value. Many people want to see errors graded so they know they are legit since errors can be easily faked.

What a great piece to get form the bank...

I too am wondering why the bank passed it to you when they are not supposed to and most banks will have at least one eagle eye teller who grabs them for either themselves or a spouse who collects.

and an awesome error note you got for face value!

Searching on ebay is your best bet to find an accurate price.

I think you are right!!

I've heard that the more you run UP you post count, the close you get "promoted" (to a forum moderator or something)
