With all the errors and coins out in the world, some may have missed my eye, especially in my grandfather's collection. I was wondering what would be a good microscope camera combination if such things existed and for a cheap price.

Just ordered one from Newegg, I heard great reviews from another member in a similar thread. Cost was $26 +free ship. Should have it next week I'll probably be posting lots of coin pics on CCF with it. Stay tuned. Here's the link in case you want to check it out.

That is about the cheapest practical way to photograph your coins.
I have seen two retort stands and clamps used in combination, one for the USB microscope, and one for a lamp.

Coinfanmorgan,

In the event your that your endeavor to acquire an inexpensive and proven microscope camera/tripod stand remains active the following CCF URL:

https://goccf.com/t/88598

contains a myriad of camera options as well as supporting photographic documentation elucidating related topics such as adjustable USB microscope stands and error coins' studies.

Please feel free to shoot me any inquisitive comments regarding this subject matter.
