I bought a USB portable microscope. It takes great pictures from 1/10 to 1/200 magnification
but then, it cannot take a picture of the whole coin! so I can't use it to upload & post a whole coin pics.. bad purchase! I am stuck on close ups.
so, to get another model, would appreciate recommendations or suggestions for a USB microscope spec or model that can both take close ups and whole coin pics
Thanks! interested to know what USB model you're using

They do have stands for them that raise up high enough to get the entire coin

Let us know what brand and model you have. I have a Celestron 44302 and it is capable of whole coin pics up to silver dollar size. John1

John 1 Could you put up a picture of a morgan taken with that, I am still looking for something, that seems the right price if the morgan pics are good

Here is one that I think is 39mm Here is a ASE This one I think is 37 or 38mm I think this one is silver dollar size Now let me say that I do not recommend the Celestron if you can afford a Dino-Lite. The Celestron is a pain in my side every time I use it. I also had to be inventive with the LED's because there is no control for them. I had to cover all but one LED and that one that wasn't covered I had to put a filter on it. John1

Nic- Thank you. Bryan1315- I don't remember for sure but it probably could be a little better. The other pics are all about the size of a ASE and they came out pretty focused. John1

alright, I wasn't sure if the ASE was so large it would be out of the focus range of the scope if you got the whole coin in the picture or not and that's why I asked

Here it is John1, its brand is supereyes, with a stand. The australian florin 1915 is about the farthest away from the coin I can focus on, its great on micro but macro is very very limited. and it cost me 3 morgans in xF LoL

Nic do you know why the snap shot button wont stop taking pics when pushed and also the picture display on the right side is there an easier way to erase them after being saved instead of doing them one by one

Hi daniels, if its about the celestron, I still dont have it and havent any clue on that. If its the one I have- supereyes. its probably on video mode, I just change it back to pic mode. For pic files, its user designated destination single or multiple files for saving & editing hope that helps
