I've probably gone through a few dozen empty slots at my area Giant supermarkets, but I stumbled upon this after work today. As they sometimes say, all droughts end in floods! 1996 Canadian Toonie 1983 UK Pound coin and 1998 50 Pence €2.30 (interestingly, all coins were 1999-2002, mostly France and Italy) ¥33 Three ¥10 and three ¥1 $172.30 in Jamaican currency (much like Japan's Yen, a Jamaican dollar is fairly similar to an American cent) 1975 Lincoln CR 2032 lithium battery Pendant engraved "ELSABETTAFRAN" That's around a $9 value in terms of exchange rates.

That's quite a harvest, yelimsexa! Much better that the 6 cents and a rusty washer I picked up yesterday.

CoinStar finds are rare for me these days, but this week I found $1.20 at one time - 4 quarters & 2 dimes, all nice and new except for a 1967 quarter that went through some sort of trauma; it was all worn down and discolored. At first glance it looked kind of like a cheap, brassy token, except darker. I needed a magnifying glass just to read the date. Quote: Went to Giant Eagle today. Found these. The silver quarter I noticed right away. The other one I had no idea what it was until I got it home and got a better look. Score! Wow! I don't know off the top if my 1878 dime (see page 355) was the previous record holder for oldest CoinStar find here (I wouldn't bet on it), but 1806 beats it big time! (Edit: My dime was not the previous record holder.)

It's been maybe a year since I found anything in my Walmart Coinstar. This morning got $1.93, no 90% silver or copper cents.

A first for me - a $100 bill on the counter of a local Coinstar! I almost missed it, but checked the counter after the empty reject bin. Did a little dance there. Then noticed the 68 cents on top of the sorting tray grate. It's as if someone began the process of cashing them in but then walked off. Interestingly one of the quarters is a bicentennial!

Nice score, HondoB. Interesting find on the tiny fake 100 dollar bill.
