Quote:Today's haul from Sainsbury's - 14 five pence coins and one 2004-P Roosevelt dime! Fantastic!

Thanks Dearborn and jbuck! No further Coinstar luck for me, but yesterday I parked in a municipal parking lot in Hastings and started putting some 50 pence coins in the meter. It kept rejecting them so I pushed the red 'error' button and an ordinary 2017 UK £1 coin fell down into the reject slot! After that, the machine accepted my 50p's!

Plucked this off-center error elongated cent from a Coinstar last week.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

It's literally been once in a blue moon since I've encountered Coinstar silver, but I happened to come across a Rosie from the same year of that classic oldie from the Marcels! The 90 cents of clad and a pair of Canadian quarters also came along for the ride.

After a long dry spell I finally found something in my local supermarket Coinstar: It appears to be brass coated aluminum or zinc.
