I look at the tray every time I pass it but its always been empty.
I did offer one gentleman cash for he rejects which he declined. He did, however, GIVE me his rejects. Several different denominations of Euro coins along with British coinage as well as three 1971 Italian lira. I collect mostly U.S. coinage but this was a good deal on a Saturday afternoon. Went home, did a little reading, and learned about Euros, Lira, and a very pretty British "New Penny".
Have a great week guys

I was dumping my halves today at the bank and the woman in front of me had a dime that kept getting rejected. All I had on me were half dollars, so I gave her one of those for her dime once I saw it was silver. It was a '50-D. I wish I would have had a dime on me to swap out instead of the half, but I'll still take it.

First attempt at the machine. Found a 1980 penny. Better luck next time, I guess.

A beautiful bright shinny camera battery about the size of a dime. Fooled me for the three seconds it took to walk up to the machine.

Been having a heck of a dry spell lately. Finallg broke after a find a the coinstar at my locak Walmart. I walk up to it and see 4 empty bags. Not the first time, so I try not get my hopes up. I stick my hand in the reject slot, into a PILE of coins. As I start puliing them out, I notice a big lump. It turned out to be 6 coppers with a clad roosie in the middle. Kind of shingled at an angle together with God only knows what kind of gunk. A bicentenial quarter and some random damaged coins. Total of $0.64 that I washed and rolled, except the quarter.

BenByfield - it was a 1971 - It's a lovely coin. I'd never seen one before now. I'm becoming more of a fan of the UK mint with every coin I see. May make a purchase soon. In any event, the actual color is a reddish brown. iPhone photos below. The pics don't do the coin justice. Maybe a USB microscope camera before long.

I love what The Royal Mint did with the new coins, from the penny to the pound, with the Shield of the Royal Arms incorporated into the design of six of the coins, then shown fully on the pound. Anyone from Britain want to make me a trade for a set of these? I would love to frame them and put them on display. I truly think they are art.

Wow, that's a lot of coins in the reject tray. I went to the store today and found a 2009 10 Sen Malaysian coin. Still never have found silver.
