Quote: So if you wanted to find all active deals just write a program to brute for 2AA000 - 2ZZ000. Just 26*26 = 676 possibilities. Actually, that would be 676,000 possibilities. 26*26*1000 (2AAxxx = 1,000; 2ABxxx = 1,000; etc). It'd be useful to write a little script to test all the code combinations and run it from time to time to check results... Not sure I have the motivation to do it myself though!

So, after digging around through the source code I found the direct web address where one can check any offer code: https://www.littletoncoin.com/webap...ils%7C2UM101where "2UM101" is replaced with a standard 6-digit ad code. I guess maybe I am a little more motivated to write a script to check all codes from 2AA000 through 2ZZ999 now....

It seems that the last three digits don't matter. 2XV999 == 2XV203 == 2XV200. Doesn't seem like all of them are valid. Like 2XV000 didn't exist nor did 2XV666 or 2XV921. But my guess would be that 000 isn't valid for any of the first three numbers.

My 24 Presidential dollars for $24 just arrived today. Some have a minor scratch or some spots, but overall they're just fine. Especially great for face value! Also, even though it said I was supposed to get the coins-on-approval again, they didn't send any my way.

Oh, and back on the topic of writing a script to check Littleton codes... I consulted a web programmer friend of mine and he made some good points why it wouldn't be the best idea. Even if we throttled it back to check one code per second (still much faster than any human could check them), it would take 7.8 days to test every code. That's a long time of hammering the Littleton website repeatedly! Even if their site was geared up to handle the traffic, it might break one's terms-of-use agreement with a home internet provider.
So yeah, I'll probably just forego the idea even though technically I now know how to do it.

I think that is for the best. Just knowing that you know how to do it has its own reward. Not to mention, actually doing it is somewhat dishonest.

Completely agree, jbuck. Sites like retailmenot.com exist for this purpose, and I hope we all continue to share active codes as they come up here on the forum. This thread could hopefully live on as new codes are created and old ones are retired.

This thread has been great. I've gotten the State Quarters and couldn't be more happy. Now I need to find out how to fill the holes. There was only one from each state (I got mostly Denver mint coins)...

I got my Presidential dollars (2007-2012) today and they're very nice. I do like the proof version much better. The trend toward faux gold coins has got to stop. These coins would hav far more eye appeal in silver (nickel/copper). Strangely... No try to buy coins in this shipment.

I sent Littleton an email - here's their response: Quote:The 2013 Native American dollar is scheduled for release by the US Mint on April 23, 2013. Typically, we receive our coins approximately six to eight weeks after the US Mint's release date. We will not be able to complete and ship these sets until we receive our shipment from the US Mint. Please be assured that, while we do obtain credit card authorization to place your order, we do not actually charge your credit card until your order is shipped. Just FYI to anyone wanting to order that! They said they sent out an email to people who had ordered those coins stating that but I never got the email.
