The Littleton State Quarters (and US Territories) set is a great deal. However, You only get 1 (either P or D) quarter for each state. I assume the best way to fill that other hole is by roll searching...?

Quote: I assume the best way to fill that other hole is by roll searching...? Or by buying another set. I have bought about 3 of them by now and still don't have a complete set from them. I picked up the remainder via circulation. Quote:
Just FYI to anyone wanting to order that!
They said they sent out an email to people who had ordered those coins stating that but I never got the email. Thanks Yawnmoth. I haven't received mine either, or an email.

Anyone getting any offer codes from Littleton lately? I got a catalog from them last week. Nothing there that I was even remotely interested in. I could easily find better deals of coins (with pictures) than anything they had in their catalog.

I saw that half-dollar club ad. I suppose that would be nice for someone to start a collection of half-dollars. It's too hit-or-miss for anyone who's collected them.

Damm they could have sent you a golden dollar as well. HE HE .....just kidding. I've never actually had any problem with Littleton. Yes their coins are usually high and I realize that but in their defense when they send me Washington quarters I check them with whats on ebay at the time. Not all of the time but many times I have just bought what they sent me because the condition was better, cheaper (with postage and handling), I have it in hand (not having to worry about being lost, stolen). They also give you 10pts. for every dollar you spend and they do add up rather quickly. I have gotten a few nice things completely free of cost. On the other hand I have purchased coins and usually other mint marks of the year they sent me on approval from ebay but I usually will buy 1 or 2 coins that are cheaper from the approvals sent. I do this to keep Littleton happy and build up my points for free stuff. If money is tight I have on occasion sent all back. Like I said before I have no complaints with Littleton but you must get the ground rules straight. Good Luck with what ever you decide to do.

Quote: three 90% half dollars for $20 sounds fantastic... but I'm a but hesitant. Has anyone joined the "half dollar club" before? I agree. That's better than spot, unless I'm mistaken. A 90% half dollar contains 0.3575oz of silver so 3 * 0.3575 is 1.0725oz or about $26.00. Are there any links for that? Like here's one I found for another club: http://www.littletoncoin.com/webapp...lf-HDBJ.htmlI assume there's a link for this club too? Quote: Anyone getting any offer codes from Littleton lately? Honestly, I'd expect a lull in Littleton deals once we're several months into any new year. I mean, most of the promotional deals they've offered to date have been for all coins of a particular series up until the last year. Quarters (be it state + national parks, just national parks, etc), Sacagawea dollars, Presidential dollars, etc. The exceptions to this have been few and far between.

Thanks for the link. Giving it a shot, how can you go wrong?

Sounds like a book club. Do they do any of the excess s&h type scams?

Quote: Sounds like a book club. Do they do any of the excess s&h type scams? Littleton has been in business since the early 1940's they aren't cheap, but they wouldn't be in business if they took advantage of customers. Some people love the idea of getting various coins as 'try to buy' and others don't. I think it's neat for a starter collection, but an expensive hassel if you're a seasoned (for the record... I didn't say old) collector.
